We’re proud to share Turning Point, a new zine marking a pivotal chapter in the evolution story of Exhibition Match — a project that has since inception, blurred the boundaries between art and sport.

Three years and eight iterations in, Exhibition Match stepped into new terrain at the 2025 Investic Cape Town Art Fair, curating a section under the theme Cabinet/Trophy. With contributions from eleven galleries, we asked: what does it mean to display, to compete, to be seen as victorious in the cultural field?

This zine deepens that inquiry, taking its title from the Greek word tropaion — the turning poiny in battle when victory becomes inevitable. In Turning Point, the trophy becomes more than an object of celebration. It becomes a lens through which to view labor, recognition, desire, and power.

As always, our goal is to dissolve the distance between art and life. With this publication, we invite you to reflect with us on the complex lives of objects, and the systems of value they represent.
